In 1989 I spent 4 months travelling around Kenya. Scanning in these pictures has been great fun for me, I'm surprised how much I remember about it after 13 years. I've only scanned in a tiny fraction, I've none of Lake Turkana, Lake Victoria or the Mombassa area, where I spent a long time. One of my first destinations was Lamu, a small island off the coast of Kenya, up north. Its a very old Muslim town with winding streets, like a small Zanzibar.
